Mevotech TTX Suspension Components are Tough Enough for Your Work Truck
Trucks that work for a living don’t live an easy life. Hauling heavy loads, towing heavy trailers, and just everyday use can put the hurt on suspension components. When it’s time to replace your ball joints, tie rods, or control arms, Mevotech’s TTX parts are tough enough for your truck.
Designed by engineers who analyze OE wear patterns and failure points, TTX parts feature patented technology that excels in the most demanding operating environments. They feature Mevotech’s REPEL-TEK corrosion-resistant coating and application-specific hardware for a straightforward installation.
TTX Ball Joints
Mevotech TTX ball joints have a patented boot that mechanically locks to the ball joint housing to keep contaminants out and save you time and effort. The directional bearing design features a sintered metal bearing inside a directional housing to provide additional contact area and greater pressure distribution. That decreases wear and extends ball joint service life.
Other features include:
• Self-calibrating stepped bearing creates a tighter and stiffer assembly for additional strength
• Cold-forged ball studs are larger than OEM and surface-hardened to prevent premature wear
• Larger, thicker housing flanges add strength and stiffness to reduce the chance of deformation during installation
• Oversized, snap-in sintered metal bearing with large contact area to accommodate steering knuckle wear
• Upper bearing provides additional contact area and greater pressure distribution for less wear
• Included circlip locks the ball joint in place on the control arm
• Pre-threaded grease fittings and castle nuts with a snap-in locking clip
Tie Rod Ends
These tie rod ends come assembled with TTX ball joints and have additional material added to the body to enhance strength and durability.
Control Arms
TTX control arms are made from steel, forged steel, aluminum, or forged aluminum depending on the application. They come assembled with TTX ball joints and bushings. The bushings have filled-in voids or additional material for durability, and the inner sleeves are knurled for improved retention in the control arm.
Stabilizer Bar End Links
These stabilizer bar end links come with bushings or TTX ball joints depending on the application. End links with bushings have what Mevotech calls an Optimized Compression Control design (OCC) that prevents the bushings from being overcompressed during installation. That greatly extends bushing service life.
