Meziere Mechanical Water Pumps: More Flow, Less Horsepower Loss
Not everyone can (or needs to) run an electric water pump like the excellent ones from Meziere. We wager those folks could use a high flow mechanical pump that's built like a brick—well, you know what.
Summit Racing has them covered with Meziere Mechanical Water Pumps. Meziere outfits its high-volume pumps with billet aluminum housings and a CNC-machined billet impeller that significantly improves high-rpm coolant flow and increases off-idle flow up to 7 gallons per minute over competing pumps.
Meziere says its pumps save over 10 horsepower compared to OEM mechanical pumps. Other quality bits included a 3/4" roller bearing and a carbon-ceramic seal that will probably outlast the rest of the pump. The pumps will even clear most cam belt drives and blower drives.
The Meziere mechanical water pumps are available for small and big block Chevy and come in your choice of polished, chrome, or black anodized finishes.
