MIG, TIG, and Stick Weld to Your Heart’s Content with a Lincoln Electric Weld-Pak 180i MP DV Welder
Why choose between MIG, TIG, or stick welding when the Lincoln Electric Weld-Pak 180i MP DV Welder can do all three? It has two control knobs—one for voltage/amperage and one for wire feed speed—making the machine easy to set up for gasless flux-cored welding (deep penetration on thicker steel), gas-shielded MIG welding (thin gauge steel, stainless or aluminum), stick welding, or DC TIG welding. The smooth, forgiving weld arc starts with little spatter and makes dialing in your specific setting easier.
The Weld-Pak 180i MP DV Welder can use 120- or 230-volt household power and weighs just 34.5 pounds, making it ideal for use almost anywhere that has electrical service. It has a fully adjustable drive system to reduce wire tangling and crushing, a numeric drive tension indicator that shows optimized ranges for different wire types, and a brass-to-brass gun connection for better conductivity.
The Lincoln Electric Weld-Pak 180i MP DV Welder comes with the following items:
• Magnum Pro 100L gun and 10 foot cable assembly for MIG and stick welding
• One each of .025 inch (0.6 mm) and .035 inch (0.9 mm) contact tips
• Gasless nozzle for inner shield welding
• Gas nozzle for MIG welding
• Spindle adapter for 8 inch (203 mm) diameter wire spools
• .025-.035 inch dual track wire drive roll for MIG and flux-cored welding
• Harris® 3000290 gas regulator and 52 inch long hose for use with Ar/CO2 blend gases and CO2 shielding gas
• Work clamp and 10 foot cable
• Electrode holder with 10 foot cable
For TIG welding, you will need a Lincoln Electric TIG torch. We also recommend getting the optional TIG foot pedal for smooth control of amperage.
For MIG welding aluminum, you will need a Lincoln Electric Magnum 100SG Spool Gun. It comes with an adapter kit, three .035 inch contact tips, gas nozzle, and a one pound spool of .035 inch SuperGlaze wire.
