Never Have a Flat Tire Again with Michelin X Tweel UTV Tires
If you drive UTVs, then you’re familiar with the dreaded ritual of repairing or changing a damaged tire on the trail. The low pressures these vehicle use are aces for traction, but it makes the tires more prone to cuts, punctures, and bead leaks. If you’re using your machine on the job site or at the farm, flat tires can even result in lost productivity and revenue.
Michelin X Tweel UTV Tires solve that. Looking like something from a sci-fi movie, X Tweel tires replace the time-honored pneumatic wheel assembly with a completely airless design. They are made of three components: a steel hub center section, high-strength poly-resin spokes, and a radial tire carcass. The components are bonded and adhered together to create a rugged, one-piece assembly that has zero chances of going flat when exposed to rugged roads, jagged terrain, and other hostile conditions. That eliminates the need to carry spare tires, tools, repair kits, and pressure gauges ever again.
And there’s more. The poly-resin spokes are pliable so that X Tweel tires maintain their shape even while deflecting over trail bumps, increasing the contact patch for improved traction on hard terrain and better flotation on muddy or soft ground. Plus, unlike conventional tires that roll over when cornering or side hilling, the X Tweel tires’ steel center hub and spokes deliver outstanding lateral stiffness for faster, more precise turning and enhanced side hill stability. Additional features include:
- Deep, open, and aggressive tread design cleans mud
- Zero-degree belts under the tread add strength for greater resistance to damage
- Proprietary Comp10 Cable™ forms a semi-rigid “shear beam” that’s strong enough to allow the vehicle to hang from the top of the tire structure
- Heavy-gauge steel center hubs increase durability
- Poly-resin wheel spokes reduce the bounce common to pneumatic tires
