New at Summit Racing: Corbeau Seats
With 40 different styles available at Summit Racing, you should have no problem finding a Corbeau seat that fits your, er, requirements. Corbeau manufactures one of the largest selections of seats available—everything from traditional fixed-back racing seats to reclining seats for dual-purpose cars and suspension seats for off-road racing. Corbeau is also the only seat company that makes its own seat brackets. That means seat tracks that will fit your seats—and your vehicle.
Here are just a couple of the Corbeau seats on the shelves at Summit Racing:
Baja RS and XRS
Suspension seats sure do take the bounce out of the trail. The Baja RS was one of the first reclining suspension seats made, and it is still a great choice for off-roaders that also pull grocery-getting duty. The Baja RS comes with your choice of all-vinyl or cloth/vinyl upholstery.
The XRS is a step up from the RS. It uses the injection molded memory foam padding used in most Corbeau reclining seats, which is a lot more supportive than the cut foam used in other suspension seats. That cut foam will quickly soften and wear—and your back and legs will pay the price. The XRS is available in black vinyl or black cloth and vinyl.
The RS and XRS seats can accommodate a race harness. They are direct bolt ins for most Jeep CJ5s, all CJ7s, and Wrangler YJs. Summit Racing has Corbeau seat brackets to fit the seats in other vehicles.
Sportline RRX
The Sportline RRX seat features injection-molded foam padding and aggressive lateral bolsters—an ideal blend of comfort and support for street-driven cars that see occasional track time. The seat base is just 2.5 inches from the floor, which provides additional headroom for a helmet in a cramped cockpit. The Sportline RRX is upholstered with long wearing black Jacquard cloth and your choice of black or gray carbon fiber-look vinyl.
Forza Sport FIA Seats
Corbeau says the Forza Sport is the most affordable FIA-approved racing seat money can buy. The seats feature energy absorbing foam and can be used with a three, four, five, or six-point harness. Unlike most FIA-approved seats that can only be side mounted, the Forza Sport FIA can be side- or bottom mounted. Bottom mounting will provide more headroom, a big plus when you’re wearing a helmet. The Forza Sport is available with black, red, blue, or gray cloth upholstery or all-black vinyl.
Classic Bucket
The Classic Bucket is ideal for classic sports cars. The seat features comfortable foam padding, classic pleated vinyl upholstery, and a headrest. Corbeau designed the fixed-back seat to fit the small cockpits of older sports cars, but it’s still a good idea to measure your car’s cockpit to see if a pair of Classic Buckets will fit.
The original Classic Bucket is designed for people with waistlines up to 36 inches. But don’t fret if there is more of you to love—Corbeau makes the Classic II Bucket seat with extra width between the bolsters to provide more comfort for larger drivers with waistlines up to 40 inches. The Classic II is an inch wider (19 inches) and the same 23 inch depth as the Classic, and is a half-inch shorter since it has no headrest.
Summit Racing also carries Corbeau fixed and slider-style seat brackets, seat lumbar and heater kits, replacement covers, and even race harnesses.
