New at Summit Racing: Dakota Digital Elliptical VHX Analog Gauge Kits

The 1932 Ford instrument panel design has found its way into a lot of hot rods over the last 80-odd years. Dakota Digital’s VHX Elliptical Series Analog Gauge Kits give that panel a modern twist. They feature a chrome plated billet aluminum housing with electronic tachometer, speedometer, oil pressure, water temperature, fuel level, and voltmeter gauges. The gauges have microprocessor-controlled stepper motor movements for accurate readings.

But there’s more than meets the eye—the VHX Elliptical gauge clusters also display these functions:
• Turn signals
• High beam
• Check Engine light
• Parking brake
• Cruise control for vehicles so equipped
• Gear position (optional DAK-GSS-2000 sensor required)
• Wait to Start for vehicles so equipped

The clusters feature two Digital Message Center LCD screens. They can display gauge readings as well as these user-accessible functions:
• One million mile odometer
• Dual trip odometers
• Clock
• 0-60 MPH timer
• 1/4 mile elapsed time
• 1/4 mile top speed
• High speed recall
• High RPM recall

You can program your cluster with the included pushbutton controls. The buttons are used to calibrate your speedometer, set the engine cylinder count, and set the fuel level gauge. You also use the buttons to access functions in the Digital Message Centers.

Each number, tick mark, needle, indicator and the Digital Message Center is backlit by a series of LEDs behind the gauge face. You have a choice of red, blue, or white lighting and silver, black, or carbon fiber style faces.

The VHX Elliptical Series Analog Gauge Kits come with the necessary sending units and a GM-style cable-driven speed sensor/generator.
