New at Summit Racing: Flowmaster American Thunder Exhaust System for Jeep Wrangler JK
The Jeep Wrangler JK’s stock muffler hangs low enough to become an easy victim of an aggressive trail. Flowmaster’s American Thunder exhaust system tucks the muffler and tubing closer to the JK’s chassis. The system’s innovative design and construction keeps the exhaust safe from trail obstacles, gives the Jeep a more aggressive exhaust rumble, and significantly reduces floorboard heat soak.
The American Thunder exhaust system is a cat-back kit that uses 2.5 inch stainless steel tubing finished with a three inch stainless steel tip. Extra ground clearance is achieved by replacing the stock muffler with Flowmaster’s compact Super HR-2 muffler and relocating it closer to the catalytic converter.
The American Thunder Systems for Wrangler JK are compatible with both two- and four-door Wrangler Unlimited models. Because of the new exhaust routing, Flowmaster strongly recommends an aftermarket rear bumper.
You can get a closer look at the system in this video produced by Flowmaster.
Flowmaster American Thunder exhaust systems are made in the U.S.A. and covered by a limited lifetime warranty. Flowmaster’s precision manufacturing and testing ensures a hassle free, bolt-on installation. All required hardware and brackets are included.
Flowmaster makes a similar American Thunder kit for the 1993-95 Jeep Grand Cherokee 5.2L.
