New at Summit Racing: Half Scale Dragsters Junior Dragster Components

If you get a kid into something while they’re young, chances are good they’ll stay with it for most of their lives. That’s why the Junior Dragster program was created. Professional class racers like two-time Pro Stock world champion Erica Enders and 2013 Top Fuel world champion Shawn Langdon got their start in Junior Dragsters. Plenty of sportsman and bracket racers did too.

Summit Racing does its part as sponsor of the NHRA Summit Racing Junior Dragster Racing League. We also carry parts from Half Scale Dragsters to help young racers build and maintain their cars. Half Scale has been the big man on the Junior Dragster totem pole ever since it built the very first Juniors back in 1992 when the class began. Tru-Spin Rear Axle Assembly
Carved from a single piece of billet aluminum, the Tru-Spin axle assembly features a splined axle with an integral sprocket hub and rotor hub mount. Unlike a keyed rear axle, the Tru-Spin’s sprocket hub and rotor hub are part of the axle,  meaning the rear axle can never shift or slip. The axle ends are splined for better distribution of power to the wheels. A steel brake rotor is included.

Polar Vortex Clutch Assembly
The Polar Vortex Clutch Assembly is a refinement of the original Polar Clutch. It features an upgraded clutch cover and ramp holder for better, more consistent performance. An adjustable primary post provides better belt clearance adjustment. Other features include improved clutch arms and oilite bearings, and roller-to-ramp adjustment capabilities. The Polar Vortex clutch is available in standard ratio or overdrive.

HSD Pro Series Billet Throttle Pedal Assembly
There are throttle pedals, then there is the HSD Pro Series pedal. The billet aluminum assembly features linkage that can be adjusted to one of 15 positions to help fine-tune the driver’s reaction times. The pedal angle is fully adjustable to fit the racer’s driving position. Other features include an adjustable heel stop and an adjustable throttle stop.

Tow Dollies
Half Scale Dragsters tow dollies are made from durable one inch diameter steel tubing. They have 10 inch tall tires and a swivel where the dragster sits. Tongue height is adjustable for use with either a golf cart or an ATV. Your choice of dollies that carry one or two Junior Dragsters.
