New at Summit Racing: Hays Dragon Claw Clutch Kits

Hays Dragon Claw dual disc clutch kits are designed to handle monster gobs of torque—up to 1,150 lbs.-ft. measured at the crankshaft—without making your left leg the size of a tree trunk. The Dragon Claw is a diaphragm style clutch with a patented lever assist. The diaphragm keeps the pedal effort near stock for street use. As engine rpm increases, centrifugal force swings the levers out to apply additional clamping force to the pressure plate.

The Dragon Claw clutch discs use specially formulated ceramic friction material that is both streetable and aggressive, plus sprung-hub disc centers for smooth engagement, less gear lash, and longer transmission life. It also comes with a flywheel machined from 6061-T6 aircraft-grade aluminum and a lightweight cover machined from 7075-T6 aluminum. A complete Dragon Claw assembly weighs as little as 35 pounds and comes complete with an alignment tool, shims and hardware. And don’t worry about break-in—Hayes says you can install a Dragon Claw clutch and start driving.
