New at Summit Racing: La Crosse Technology Weather Stations

Keep one step ahead of the weather with a La Crosse Technology weather station. Knowing what the temperature—and barometric pressure, humidity, dew point, and other weather factors—can help you dial-in your race car for the specific conditions at any track you compete at.

Summit Racing offers several types of La Crosse Technology weather stations:

Professional Weather Stations
La Crosse Technology Professional Weather Stations are the most versatile, powerful and affordable weather stations available. The weather stations track temperature, barometric pressure, humidity, wind speed, gusts, and rainfall. Step up to the more powerful Professional Weather Stations and you can track wind direction, wind chill, and dew point. Several of the stations use a special USB transceiver to link the weather station, and its data, to your PC to create an extremely powerful weather center.

You can even get a station with Heavy Weather PC software that links to mobile devices through the Internet, stores up to 1,750 stored weather-data files, and can provide weather and storm warnings.

Wireless Weather Stations
La Crosse Technology Wireless Weather Stations monitor basic weather data like temperature and humidity, dew point, barometric pressure, pressure trends and changes, and even rainfall. Because the data sensors are wireless, you can place them wherever you want—a big plus in a crowded race pit. Some of the stations can create weather forecasts, predict overnight low temperatures, display lunar phases, alert you to the day length from sunrise to sunset, and display Atomic Time and date.

Handheld Weather Station
This anemometer style weather station is a no-frills device that monitors temperature, wind speed, and wind chill in real time. It can display maximum and average wind speed as well.
