New at Summit Racing: Moser Muscle Pak 12-Bolt Rear Axle Assemblies for GM
Back in the 1960s and early ‘70s, GM’s 12-bolt was the strongest factory rear axle for musclecars and pony cars. It’s desirable even today, but original ones are hard to find—and even the mighty 12-bolt needs upgrading to cope with today’s street-driven muscle that makes 700-plus horsepower.
Moser’s Muscle Pak Rear Axles Assemblies are drop-in alternative for a vintage 12-bolt. Designed and manufactured in the USA, the Muscle Pak 12-bolts are fully assembled with all-new parts—no worries about breaking decades-old parts when you hammer the throttle. The axles come with factory mounting brackets welded on—just bolt one in the car, hook up the suspension, driveshaft, and brake lines, and you’re ready to go.
Other features include:
• Axle tubes made from three inch O.D., 1/4 inch wall seamless tubing
• New axle tube ends
• Center sections cast in Moser’s own casting boxes
• 30-spline bolt-in axles
• Eaton Detroit clutch-style differential and gears set up with Timken bearings
• Choice of ring and pinion gear ratios
• 1310-style pinion yoke
• 9.5 inch GM drum brakes
• Chrome differential cover
• OEM-style wheel studs, brake lines, brake line clamps, emergency brake cables included
Moser Muscle Pak 12-bolt axle assemblies are currently available for the following vehicles:
• 1955-57 Chevy
• 1964-72 GM A-body
• 1967-92 Camaro/Firebird
