New at Summit Racing: Simpson C5R Driver Window Nets
A side impact on the ovals or a road course can be nasty business. If you don’t have a means of containing your upper body—and especially your head—inside the vehicle, the chances of serious injury go way, way up.
That’s why you should have some sort of window net on your car. Simpson’s C5R Driver Window Net offers features others don’t. It’s taller to contain both your head and shoulders in an accident. The net itself is made from one inch wide webbing, which gives you better visibility compared to nets with two inch wide webbing. The C5R also has longer straps with a ratcheting adjuster to keep the net extremely tight and reach the cage in bigger cars.
Other features include:
• SFI 37.1 rated
• Your choice of poly or KEVLAR® webbing
• Quick release buckle for quick exit
• Quick-mount three-bar adjusters for easy installation
• Holds the weight of your helmet in the turns
• Works very well in all sedans and coupes
• Available for driver and passenger side windows
The Simpson C5R Driver Window Net is recommended by the SCCA, and is a required by the NASA and Grand Am sanctioning bodies. Made in the USA.
