New at Summit Racing: Trique Manufacturing Altman Easy-Latch Door Latch Kits

Our favorite classic pickups were not treated kindly when they were new. Take the door latches. After opening and closing the doors seventy bazillion times, the latches are pretty much toast. That makes the doors stick and hard to open, and you have to slam them to close.

But you can remedy that situation with a pair of Trique Altman Easy-Latch Door Latch Kits. The kit replaces the factory door latches with heavy duty, bear claw-style latch mechanisms. The latches have 3/16 inch, case hardened steel paws that close around a stainless steel striker pin to prevent the doors from popping open when the body flexes. The latches also have a two-position catch system to provide an extra level of safety. No welding is required—just make one small cut in the corner of your door using the provided template, drill a few holes, and bolt on the latch.
