New at Summit Racing: Tuff Stuff Kool Charger 160 Amp Alternators
Modern conveniences like A/C, high-output audio systems and lights, and power everything are nice to have. But they need big amperage to function properly—something most factory alternators cannot provide.
Fortunately, Tuff Stuff makes Kool Charger alternators. The GM CS130-style alternators put out 160 amps, which is enough to keep your electrical gadgets fed. Features include:
• One-wire hookup
• Large, heavy-duty wound copper coils
• Spike-resistant diodes
• Double-wide, heavy-duty ball bearings
• Low cut-in internal regulator
• Internal cooling fan
• Patented frame prevents diode failure
The Tuff Stuff Kool Charger 160 amp alternators come with a five- or six-groove serpentine-style pulley. They are direct-fit for most 1986-95 Chevrolet Gen I small block, Gen IV and V big block, and V6 engines, and can be adapted to older V8s with appropriate brackets.
