New at Summit Racing: U.S. Mags Wheels

Classic American style since 1966. U.S. Mags got its start in the musclecar heyday when  racing legend Parnelli Jones and his childhood friend Art Hale started making wide wheels to accommodate the performance tires Parnelli was selling in his retail stores. The company grew and acquired other wheel companies during the 1960s and ‘70s. The name eventually changed to one you’ve probably heard of: American Racing.

Now, U.S. Mags is back with its famous Standard five-spoke and Indy slotted wheels as well as new wheel designs. Summit Racing carries these U.S. Mag wheels:

Standard Five-Spoke
The Standard is U.S. Mag’s version of the classic five-spoke wheel. The one-piece cast aluminum wheels are available fully polished, gloss black with a machined lip, or gray textured with a machined lip. Sizes available: 15, 16, 17, and 20 inch diameters in a variety of widths, bolt patterns, and backspacing.

Indy Slotted
In the ‘60s, this slotted wheel design was a close second in popularity to the five-spoke. We think there are some cars—Willys gassers come to mind—that look better with them.  The one piece cast aluminum wheels are available in 15 x 5, 15 x 7, 15 x 8, and 15 x 9 inch sizes in various bolt patterns and backspacing.

Bandit Five-Spoke
The Bandit is an update on the classic five-spoke wheel. The one piece cast aluminum wheels have a black painted finished with machined spoke faces and a machined lip. The Bandit is available in 17 x 7, 17 x 8, 18 x 7, and 18 x 8 inch sizes with 5 x 4.5 and 5 x 4.75 bolt patterns.
