New from Summit Racing: GoPro HERO3+ Cameras

The best-selling HERO3 camera made smaller, lighter, and with improved optics to better capture your adventures.

Why They’re Cool: GoPro’s HERO3 camera is probably the best-selling video camera available. Well, until now. That’s because GoPro has introduced the new HERO3+ cameras. They’re smaller, lighter, have improved lenses for better image quality, and longer battery life.

Summit Racing offers two versions of the HERO3+. Both have built-in Wi-Fi that is four times quicker than before for faster uploads to your mobile device and 30% longer battery life. They are compatible with GoPro’s LCD Touch BacPac and Battery BacPac as well as all GoPro mounts.

HERO3+ Black Edition
GoPro calls this its most innovative camera ever. It has a new waterproof housing that makes the camera 20% smaller and lighter overall. GoPro added a wide-angle, all-glass lens that offers sharper video and better still image quality. Other features include:
• SuperView video mode for the ultimate wide-angle perspective
• Auto Low Light mode intelligently adjusts video frame rate for varying lighting conditions
• Upgraded audio performance
• Six video quality levels including 1080p60 and 720p120 fps
• Shoot 12 megapixel photos at up to 30 frames per second
• Looping video, continuous photo, white balance, and Protune modes
• Wi-Fi remote

HERO3+ Silver Edition
This camera also has a new waterproof housing that makes it 15% smaller and lighter overall. It also has an image processor that’s twice as fast as the one in the original HERO3 Silver. That means better image quality in video and still photo modes. Other features include:
• Improved image sharpness and reduced distortion
• Upgraded audio performance
• 1080p60 and 720p120 fps video quality levels
• Shoot 10 megapixel photos at up to 10 frames per second

Both HERO3+ cameras come with a lithium-ion battery, quick release and vertical release buckles, one curved and one flat adhesive mount, a three-way pivot arm, and USB charging cable.
