POWERTRAX is pushing the leading edge of traction-adding differential technology. It just introduced two new traction systems, the Grip Pro and Grip LS. Both combine the smooth operation of a limited slip differential with the near-bulletproof reliability of a forged steel case. POWERTRAX Grip traction systems are ideal for most light truck, SUV, and performance vehicles driven on- or off-road.

The POWERTRAX Grip LS differential uses carbon fiber and steel friction plate technology to deliver street-friendly engagement and consistent traction. The Grip LS is a S-spring preloaded, limited slip differential that comes fully assembled for straightforward installation. The use of friction plates and machined internal gears means each unit is fully rebuildable.

• GM 8.5 Inch, 28- or 30-spline
• GM 8.875 Inch Car, 3 or 4 series carrier, 30-spline
• Ford 8.8 Inch, 31-spline

POWERTRAX Grip Pro delivers variable progressive traction based on throttle input. In other words, the driver can regulate traction. This can be handy on rain- or snow-covered roads where finesse is required to maintain vehicle control. It’s also invaluable at the track and trail, where precise, predictable traction can shave seconds off of ETs or conquer a daunting rock pile.
