Now at Summit Racing: Superwinch New S Series Winches
An updated version of the hauler’s best friend.
When Superwinch introduced the original S Series Trailer Winches, their bulletproof reliability and functional versatility became stuff of legend. Now, Superwinch has taken another leap forward with its New S Series trailer winches.
Just like the originals, New S Series winches are compact and rugged with a weather-resistant housing. That makes them a great choice for exposed flatbed or trailer installation. Controls and motor access are located at the top of the winch, to allow for installation into trailer wells and recesses.
The winches feature a no-coast motor so when you let off the remote, the winch motor stops immediately. That means the vehicle halts exactly when you want it to. Dynamic and mechanical brakes prevent the vehicle from rolling backwards when the winch motor stops.
Superwinch also incorporated a handy kick flip lever into the New S Series. It allows the winch’s freespool operation to be engaged hands-free with simple foot pressure. Other features include an upgraded gearbox that provides better engagement and longer service life, plus more power—models are available with 3,500; 5,500; and 7,500 pounds of pulling strength. Despite the power increase, the winches draw less current from the vehicle’s electrical system.
The Superwinch New S Series winches are available with either steel wire or synthetic rope. Both styles get Superwinch’s clever “Roller Hawse” fairlead, which is compatible with both winch line types. A 30 foot wired remote is included; wireless remote options are available separately. New S Series winches carry a limited lifetime warranty, with a 3 year warranty on the winch solenoid.
