Permatex Anaerobic Flange Sealant Now Available at Summit Racing

You know where the leaks come from—transmission pans, timing covers, transfer and transaxle cases, water pumps. That’s because those components have finely machined mating surfaces and often rely on paper, rubber, cork, or preformed gaskets for sealing. Over time, those gaskets fail, and you’re tearing stuff apart to seal them up again.

That’s why you need Permatex Anaerobic Flange Sealant. It’s designed for sealing close-fitting machined steel or iron assemblies with less than a .015 inch gap. Because it’s anaerobic, Flange Sealant cures in the absence of air. It can withstand temperatures up to 300 degrees F and flexes with flanges that move when the vehicle is in motion. This Permatex video provides a good overview on Flange Sealant and other anaerobic sealants and gasket makers.
