PerTronix Flame-Thrower Ignition Wires: The Right Wire for Your GM LS Engine
The ignition wires on a GM LS engine have to be made a certain way so they won’t burn up on the exhaust manifolds or headers. PerTronix got it right with its Flame-Thrower wires. The 8mm wires have ceramic spark plug boots with correct 45° angle to clear the exhaust system, plus two layers of silicone jacketing rated to 600° F for additional heat protection.
The Flame-Throwers conduct plenty of spark energy, too. They have two ‘paths’ for the spark to travel—a stainless-steel alloy spiral core primary and a carbon-impregnated fiberglass center core that acts as a secondary path. One way or the other, current will reach your spark plugs. Other features include:
• Low 500 ohm-per-foot resistance
• EPDM rubber inner insulation reduces arcing and voltage leaks and provides superior heat resistance
• Fiberglass reinforcing braid for added strength and flexibility
PerTronix Flame-Thrower Ignition Wires come assembled and are backed by a limited lifetime warranty.
