Philadelphia Racing Products Electric Water Pumps: Keep Your Engine Cool without the Horsepower Loss

Electric water pumps do two things well—they flow a ton of coolant and they free up the power an engine-driven mechanical fuel pump eats up. When you’re ready to make the switch to an electric pump, take a good look at Philadelphia Racing Products (PRP) pumps. Most PRP pumps flow 50 gallons per minute at 12 volts, which is plenty of flow for most street performance and race engines approaching the 1,000 horsepower mark. The heavy-duty electric motor draws just six amps, so it won’t put a strain on your vehicle’s electrical system—a big plus in race cars with minimal electricals.

PRP electric water pumps have a CNC-machined 6061 aircraft grade aluminum housing and are assembled with a durable carbon-ceramic mechanical seal and stainless steel hardware. Pumps that mount directly to the engine block have O-ringed feet for a leak-free seal.

Summit Racing carries PRP Electric Water Pumps in direct-fit versions for small and big block Chevy; GM LS; small block and Modular Ford; big block Mopar and 426 Hemi; and 5.9L Mopar Cummins diesel. We also have universal-fit remote-mount pumps too. You can’t go wrong with any of them when it comes to keeping your engine nice and cool.
