Plug In More Performance with a Jet Performance Module
Jet Performance Products wrings more performance out of a vehicle. Its performance modules interface with a vehicle’s engine control unit (ECU) to modify things like ignition timing, air/fuel ratio, transmission shift points, coolant temperature, and rev limits. By adjusting specific parameters, Jet is able to squeeze more performance out of your vehicle.
How much of a performance increase differs from vehicle to vehicle, but Jet isn’t shy about posting dyno charts for its products. It also tests each module at the track to ensure the performance improvement is real and measurable. Average gains range from 10 to 50 horsepower, depending on the application. Perhaps more importantly, a Jet Performance Module will not have a negative impact on fuel economy and, in some cases, has actually proven to increase gas mileage over the stock tune.
Jet breaks its performance modules into two stages. Stage 1 is designed for stock or slightly modified vehicles. This stage is compatible with 89 octane fuel, making it a good choice for daily drivers, tow vehicles, and mild street machines. This stage delivers improved power, torque, acceleration, and throttle response.
Stage 2 is intended for all-out street performance. It boasts aggressive programming, which includes a modified timing curve and altered thermostat threshold. Jet recommends Stage 2 only be used with 91 or higher octane gasoline. Stage 2 is an excellent complement for common performance modifications like a cold air intake and free-flowing exhaust.
Most Jet Performance Modules are 50-state legal. You can check CARB compliance on Jet’s website, JetChip.com. Installing a Jet Performance Module will not void your vehicle warranty.
From cars to trucks, imports to domestics, there are hundreds of vehicle applications for Jet Performance Modules, including these popular models:
* 1986-2014 Ford Mustang
* 1981-2016 Chevy Corvette
* 1981-2016 Chevy Camaro/Pontiac Firebird
* 1991-2015 Jeep Wrangler
* 2008-16 Dodge Challenger
