Power Up Off-Road with REDARC Solar Panels

Now you can stay in the great outdoors and enjoy all of the electronic comforts of home by harnessing the energy of the sun with REDARC’s Camping Solar Panels. Designed to back up your vehicle’s battery charging system, the 12 volt panels recharge throughout the day to help keep your batteries charged and making volts. No more melted ice, no more cold coffee, no more compromises.

REDARC says you can expect to receive 6-8 hours of sunlight on a typical sunny day. The solar panels soak up this sunlight and convert it to electricity to power your battery chargers and appliances, so you can charge everything no matter where you are

REDARC Camping Solar Panels are available in folding and fixed designs:

Folding Solar Panels are ultra-lightweight, easy to set up, and fold up into a small package that can slide under a seat or fit in a tote. The panels have durable monocrystalline solar cells with an ETFE (ethylene tetrafluoroethylene) protective coating that is more flexible and withstands higher temperatures than a traditional glass panel design. The panels are set in a strong double-channel aluminum panel that won’t flex or twist, and have adjustable legs so you can angle a panel towards the sun for maximum efficiency. You can even link panels together to create larger arrays and really soak up some sun.

REDARC Folding Solar Panels are available in 120 watt/6 amp and 220 watt/10 amp versions. You can also get a panel in a complete kit that includes a regulator, a panel-to-regulator cable, and a regulator-to-battery cable.

Fixed Solar Panels are designed for installation on the roof of an RV or camper trailer, or even in a pickup bed. The panels have monocrystalline solar cells set in a double-channel aluminum frame and have a tempered glass coating to protect them from damage. More efficient solar cells make the panels smaller and lighter than REDARC’s previous generation.

The panels have plugs for industry-standard MC4 connector cables so you can link them together to create larger solar arrays. The panels are available in these configurations:
• 50 watt/2.5 amp
• 80 watt/4 amp
• 120 watt/6 amp
• 180 watt/9 amp
• 200 watt/10 amp

Summit Racing also carries REDARC solar regulators plus cables, connectors, and panel mounts to attach panels to a vehicle, trailer, or even a boat. We also have REDARC’s remote solar monitor so you can monitor panel charging, battery condition, and more.

If you don’t have a battery charger, we suggest getting a REDARC Dual Input In-Vehicle Battery Charger that can charge your vehicle’s battery with solar panels or auxiliary batteries. When you’re in camp, you can hook the charger up to a solar panel to keep the auxiliary batteries topped up. It’s compatible with standard lead-acid, AGM, gel, and LiFePO4 lithium batteries and 12-volt vehicle charging systems.
