Temprotex Insulative Fire Extinguishing Barrier Coating
SFI 54.1-rated Temprotex Insulative Fire Extinguishing Barrier Coating reacts to flame by rapidly absorbing significant amounts of heat. It also acts as an insulating, fireproof barrier by separating covered parts made from flammable materials like rubber, plastic, fiberglass, carbon fiber, etc. from the flames and keeping them from igniting.

Other features include:
• Insulates the driver from heat due to fire
• Extinguishes liquid fires including oil, gasoline, and alcohol
• Minimizes toxic smoke generation and increases visibility to help the driver exit the vehicle

Temprotex can be applied to the underside of race car bodies, on firewalls and engine compartment panels, on rubber and silicone hose and line, and other areas that are vulnerable to fire. Temprotex can also be applied to roll cage foam, padding, blankets, and poly- or silicone-based flammable components throughout the car and cockpit for extra protection from fire and smoke.

Temprotex Insulative Fire Extinguishing Barrier Coating can be applied with a brush, roller, or an airless spray gun. The water-based coating has a matte black finish and is low VOC, non-toxic, and odorless. It can be painted over with latex- or oil-based paint.

The FireFoam Fire Extinguishing Foam Panel is infused with Temprotex Fire-Extinguishing Barrier Coating to help keep fire contained and to absorb flammable liquids like oil, fuel, and hydraulic fluid. It can be applied to cockpit panels, belly pans, vents, gaps, or any location where applying Temprotex coating might be difficult. FireFoam Fire Extinguishing Foam Panel is SFI 54.1-rated and measures 18 inches wide, 24 inches long, and one-inch thick.
