Many enthusiasts spend hours upon hours poring over every little detail about tuners, connecting rods, cranks, injectors, turbos, and other components to extract every ounce of power from their diesel-powered rigs. However, almost no one gives the harmonic damper a second glance. And you know what? It’s this neglected part that stands between having a reliable engine or one that suffers damage from excessive torsional vibration. 

Fluidampr Diesel Performance Harmonic Dampers control a broad range of destructive crankshaft torsional vibrations for optimum performance and durability. Moreover, they reduce wear on rotating assembly components, improve timing, make engines run smoother, and are dyno-proven to unleash lost horsepower and torque.

The dampers are constructed from three main components: the outer housing, the inner inertia ring, and cover plate. The high-grade steel outer housings and inner inertia rings are precision CNC-machined and computer-balanced to SFI 18.1 specifications. Specially formulated viscous silicone fluid is pumped in after assembly. Fluidampr uses it because it’s the only media proven to control torsional vibrations at all frequencies. Silicone fluid also maintains its viscosity across a temperature range of -40° F to 300° F and never deteriorates, giving a Fluidampr damper the ability to last the lifespan of an engine. Damper assemblies are fully laser-welded to increase strength and durability before a black zinc chromate coating is applied to protect them from corrosion. Laser-engraved timing marks are added for the finishing touch.
