PRP Seats UTV Seats and Components Now Available at Summit Racing

PRP Seats has been making off-roading more comfortable since founder Aaron Wedeking made his first suspension seat in his garage workshop some 17 years ago. The company was one of the first to make seats and other components for UTVs, and sets the benchmark from which all other UTV seats are judged.

Summit Racing carries PRP seats for Polaris UTVs, race harnesses, suspension limit straps, and accessories. Here are a few to whet your appetite:

XC Suspension Seats for Polaris RZR
PRP Seats XC Seats feature side bolsters reinforced with 3/4 inch steel tubing for a better hold and longer life than other seats with just foam padding. The open-type bolsters make tightening the lap belt much easier, and work great if you have retractable harnesses installed.

Other features include reinforced lateral leg support, a quick-release pull, a mud and sand drain, and adapters for the factory seat slider. A matching rear bench seat is available.

GT/S.E. Suspension Seats for Polaris RZR
The GT/S.E. is the most popular suspension seat PRP makes for the RZR. It features seven inches of containment with a vinyl-coated nylon suspension liner and dual-density foam to decrease impact on your body. You’ll appreciate the reduced fatigue after a long day of riding. Large harness openings make seat removal easier, and a matching rear bench seat is available.

Racing Harnesses
Summit Racing offers several types of PRP Seats harnesses. The universal-fit harnesses feature EZ adjusters that let you adjust the shoulder straps quickly, even if they are dirty or muddy. Sewn-in shoulder pads stop chaffing on the neck and add extra comfort. The harnesses also have a removable sternum strap and a red latch guard on the lap belt to protect against accidental release.

The 4.2 and 4.3 Harnesses are four-point harnesses. The 4.2 harnesses have two inch wide belts, and the 4.3’s have three inch belts. They are not SFI-approved.

Step up to the 5.2 and 5.3 Harnesses and you get a two inch submarine belt and SFI 16.1 certification. The 5.2 harnesses have two inch wide belts, and the 5.3’s have three inch belts. You can also get a 5.3X2 harness with a three inch lap belt and two inch shoulder straps.

The 6.3X2 Harness gives you an additional two inch submarine belt. It is SFI 16.5 certified and has sewn-in shoulder pads that are compatible with a HANS Device.

Limit Straps
Limit straps help prevent damage to suspension and drivetrain components. Without them, the force of your vehicle’s unsprung weight can cause damage to shocks when jumping or running at high speeds over rough sections. Limit straps can also prevent damage to your CV joints by reducing the amount of maximum angle on your axles. That keeps the CV joint deflection angle within safe limits. PRP’s limit straps are four sewn layers thick with 10,000 lb. pull-rated webbing. They’re available in universal-fit and custom sizes for Polaris RZRs.
