Restore Your Early Ford with Bob Drake Reproductions Components

Before Bob Drake started his parts business in 1971, owners of pre-1949 Ford vehicles relied on junkyards and collectors to find the parts they needed to finish their restorations. Even then, sources of parts for 1930s Fords (especially 1932-34 cars) were drying up quickly, so having access to the reproduction parts Bob Drake made was a godsend for old Ford fans.

Emblems
Bob Drake emblems are officially licensed by Ford and are made to factory specifications from the same materials old Henry used. Here are just of few of the emblems available:
• Hood emblems for 1937-41 and 1952-56 passenger car and truck
• Grille emblems for 1932-34 and 1937-38 passenger car and truck
• Fender emblems for 1946-47 and 1951-56 passenger car

Door Hinge Pin Puller
Door hinge pins on old Fords don’t like to be disturbed. Bob Drake’s hinge pin puller will make it easier to remove them without damaging the hinges. It has a forged steel body with a heat-treated steel bolt. To remove a pin, position the tool over the hinge, fit the appropriate-length extension into the bolt head, and turn the bolt to push the pin up and out. Bob Drake recommends applying penetrating oil to the hinge at least 24 hours before attempting removal to help break the pin loose. If you have an especially stubborn pin, apply heat to the hinge to ‘encourage’ the pin to loosen.

The Bob Drake hinge pin puller comes with 1, 1.5, 2, and 2.5 inch long hardened steel extensions. Replacement extensions and new hinge pins are available.

Brake/Clutch Pedal Pads
It’s the little things like pedal pads that really make a restoration complete. Summit Racing offers Bob Drake stock replacement hard rubber brake and clutch pads with mounting stud for 1933-34, 1937-40, and 1946-48 passenger car and 1948-56 truck.

We also have Bob Drake’s universal-mount pads that can be adjusted vertically and horizontally to position the brake and/or clutch pedal to suit your driving style. The universal pads have hard rubber bonded to a steel back and a stainless steel trim ring.

Shok-Liner and Shok-Shims
Nobody likes the sound of a steel car body or truck cab grinding on a steel frame. Bob Drake’s Shock-Liner is a 1/8 inch thick, adhesive-backed rubber extrusion that adds a layer of cushioning between body and frame or any other metal-to-metal contact points like fenders, running boards, braces, panels, and gas tanks. You can even layer Shok-Liner to the thickness you want. Shock-Liner comes in a two inch wide x 25 foot long roll that you can cut to fit.

Bob Drake Shok-Shims body mount shims help level your vehicle’s body. The shims are made from an elastic damping material to dampen vibration, and have interlocking surface grooves that mate perfectly with Bob Drake’s Shok-Liner to provide a smoother, more comfortable (and quieter) ride. Shok-Shims can be stacked, and are flexible enough to expand around bolts up to 5/8 inch diameter. Each pack has 10 each of 1/8, 3/16, 1/4, 5/16, 3/8 inch-thick shims.

Headlight Assemblies for 1932 Ford
Dress up your Deuce and see where you’re going with these Bob Drake headlight assemblies. They have super-bright 12V halogen bulbs and reflector kits in die-formed stainless steel shells that are polished to a mirror-like finish.
