Restore Your Vehicle’s Suspension to OEM Spec with TRW Replacement Parts
TRW Automotive got its start in 1909 making wooden wheels for the first Ford Model Ts. They must have done a good job as the company is now one of the world’s largest OEM and aftermarket manufacturers of suspension and brake system components. TRW tests the heck out of their parts in the lab and in grueling real-word use to make sure they work as designed.
Summit Racing carries a big selection of TRW replacement parts including these:
Control Arms
TRW put a lot of time and effort into its control arms. In testing, they maintained breakaway and rotational torque consistent with OEM specifications. For you, that means TRW control arms will restore the steering feel the factory designed your vehicle to have.
Features include:
• Sealed-for-life, low friction polymer rotational joint design provides better elasticity to allow free movement and shock absorption
• Control arm body made from the exact metals used for making OEM parts
• Bushings made from the same high quality materials used by the OEMs
Summit Racing has TRW Control Arms for over 300 domestic and import vehicles.
Ball Joints
Available for hundreds of vehicles, TRW Ball Joints are made to go the distance. Features include:
• Forged or cold-formed steel bodies
• Low-friction polymer bearings enhance damping and reliability
• Long-lasting rubber dust covers keep dust and water from entering the ball joint
• OEM quality hardware
Tie Rod Ends
Loose steering, clunking when making turns, and tire scrubbing are symptoms of tie rods going bad. You can double-check by grabbing the outer edges of a front wheel at the nine and three o’clock positions and wiggling it side to side. If you hear a clunk or feel slight movement before resistance, it’s likely the tie rod end is loose and needs to be replaced.
TRW Tie Rod Ends are made to OEM specifications with the same materials used by the factory. Summit Racing carries inner and outer tie rod ends for hundreds of vehicles.
Sway Bar End Links
As sway bar end links age—particularly links with ball joints—they will have excessive play. Increased body roll and clunking noises over bumps or in turns are telltale signs. TRW replacement sway bar end links have top-quality rubber bushings or premium steel and polymer joints depending on the application. We recommend replacing sway bar links in pairs.
Summit Racing also carries these TRW replacement parts:
• Coil springs
• Idler and pitman arms
• Sway bar and control arm bushings
• Center links and track bars
