Rugged Radios made its name providing communications gear for NASCAR and off-road racers that needed ultra-reliable contact between driver and crew. RH-5R Dual Band Handheld Radio
The RH-5R Dual Band Radio is a great foundation for a powerful communications system for race teams and off-roaders. Rated at five watts, the RH-5R operates on both VHF and UHF bands making it do the job of two radios in one. It also has an FM radio receiver, emergency alarm function, selectable scan mode, and battery save function. The RH-5R comes with a high capacity lithium-ion battery, antenna, AC base station charger, lapel mike, and earpiece. You can upgrade yours with Rugged Radios accessories like a handheld speaker mike, external antenna, and adapters for using headsets or intercoms.

Crew Chief/Spotter Radio Headset Package
This package is ideal for crew chiefs, spotters, support team, or base camp to keep in touch with their drivers. It features Rugged Radios’ RH-5R Dual Band Radio; a headset with wire boom mike and push-to-talk feature; and a radio-to-headset cable. This package is also ideal for drivers in single-seat race vehicles like sand rails, UTVs, and karts.

Nitro-Bee Single Channel UHF Race Receiver
The Nitro Bee UHF Race Receiver was developed for race drivers and spotters to monitor race officials’ radio traffic. In fact, many tracks and sanctioning bodies like USAC, IMCA, and the Lucas Oil Offroad Racing Series require the use of a receiver. The Nitro-Bee is also a great way for a race fan to monitor their favorite driver or team during a race—just program the frequency you want to listen to and you're good to go.

The Nitro-Bee can receive any single UHF frequency between 440.0000 and 469.9875 Mhz. Other features include programmable CTCSS and DCS tones, programmable turn-on default channel, and a button lock to prevent accidental frequency changes. Stereo earbuds are included.
