Sanderson Headers: More Performance without the Leaks

That tick-tick-tick sound of a leaking header is sooooo annoying. The number one cause of header leaks are poorly-made flanges. Sanderson Headers don’t have that issue thanks to laser-cut, 3/8-inch thick steel flanges. Weld beads are built up and expertly ground around the exhaust ports and bolt holes to such precise tolerances, all you need to seal the headers is a 1/8- inch bead of Permatex Ultra Black Silicone Gasket Maker.

Sanderson didn’t skimp on the rest of the header, either. All headers are made in the USA from 16 gauge steel tubing and are designed to fit as tightly as possible to the engine for maximum clearance in cramped engine compartments. In fact, Sanderson claims its headers are the tightest-fitting available.

Summit Racing carries several styles of Sanderson Headers:
• Standard Headers are available in shorty, mid-length, and full-length styles in natural steel, silver ceramic, and black ceramic finishes. They’re available for popular GM, Ford, and Mopar V8s
• Blockhugger Headers provide extra clearance around steering and frame rails without compromising spark plug clearance. They’re also available in natural steel, silver ceramic, and black ceramic finishes for popular GM, Ford, and Mopar V8s
• Jayster and LimeFire Headers are lakester-style headers for open fender hot rods. Jayster headers are available for small block Chevy, and LimeFire headers are available for small Chevy and early Chrysler Hemi. Turnout tips are available for both styles, and finned blockoff plates are available for LimeFire headers
• Zoomie Headers give your car that classic dragster look and come with bolt-in baffles for street use. They’re available for small and big block Chevy

If you want an exhaust system that’s on the quieter side but don’t want to sacrifice performance, Sanderson Quiet Performer (QP) Exhaust Manifolds are perfect. The cast iron manifolds feature individual runners to separate exhaust pulses, cast-in anti-reversion baffling, and a D-port design for improved scavenging. They’re more compact than tubular headers for even more steering and chassis clearance, and use the same gasketless flange design Sanderson headers do. QP Series Exhaust Manifolds are available for small and big block Chevy.

Summit Racing also carries Sanderson header and collector gaskets, header reducers, replacement zoomie header baffles, and other components.
