Stay Cool and Quiet with LizardSkin Sound Control and Ceramic Thermal Insulation Coatings

Nobody likes riding in a noisy, rattly, hot vehicle. Fortunately, you can literally insulate your car and ride in quiet and comfort with LizardSkin Sound Control Insulation and Ceramic Thermal Insulation Coatings. Unlike mat-style insulation, the high-solids acrylic coatings are easy to apply to irregular surfaces and create a tough, seamless barrier on exposed metal.

Use them together for the ultimate in noise and heat insulation. LizardSkin recommends applying Sound Control Insulation first, then the Ceramic Thermal Insulation on top of it. When you’re done, just clean up the residue with soap and water.

LizardSkin Sound Control Insulation will keep annoying rattles, vibrations, and road noise from entering your vehicle’s interior. Apply it to firewalls, floor pans, transmission tunnels, doors, hoods, trunk lids, under headliners, inside fenders, and other areas that generate vibration and noise. It comes in black and is available in one- and two-gallon containers. A two-gallon container covers 46-50 square feet .025-.040-inch thick.

LizardSkin Ceramic Thermal Insulation has high-grade acrylic binders with reflective and sound-absorbing ceramic particles to reduce interior temperatures due to engine and solar heat transfer by up to 30 degrees F. It’s available in white or black matte in one- and two-gallon containers. A two-gallon container covers 46-50 square feet .040-.060-inch thick.

These instructions outline how to apply LizardSkin.

We strongly recommend using LizardSkin’s SuperPro Application Kit to properly apply the coatings. It includes a spray gun that connects to your shop air system, a 90 degree tip, a one quart spray pot, and a drill-driven stir paddle. LizardSkin also includes a coating film gauge to ensure optimal coverage thickness.
