STS Turbo Rear Mount Twin Turbo Systems for C6 Corvette Now Available at Summit Racing

Have you looked at the engine bay of your C6 Vette lately? Can you imagine how big a job it would be to fit a turbocharger and all of its associated plumbing in that very crowded area? Yikes, we say.

Fortunately, STS Turbo has a better solution. Its Rear Mount Twin Turbo Systems are not only easier to install, they actually perform better than a traditional engine-mounted system. Relocating the turbos to the rear of the car exposes them to ambient air instead of hot underhood air, reducing turbo inlet temperatures as much as 500 degrees F. And we all know turbos make more power with cooler, denser exhaust gasses running through them.

Relocating the turbos to the rear also means no additional heat under your hood, eliminating potential engine cooling issues. And here’s something you may not have thought about–putting the heavy turbo system at the rear of the car will help improve balance and weight transfer.

The STS systems replace the stock mufflers and are compatible with the factory intake manifold, throttle body, exhaust manifolds, catalytic converters, and mid-pipes. Installation is much easier since you don’t have to worry about engine bay clearance or interference issues with the belts, pulleys, or accessories. Other features include:

• All under-car tubing is 304 stainless steel and all under-hood tubing is aluminum
• Systems do not modify or affect factory emissions devices
• Unique performance sound since the turbos act as a muffler—no need for expensive headers, mufflers, or exhaust system
• Using wasted energy leaving your tailpipe may help improve fuel mileage by 1-3 MPG

STS Rear Mount Twin Turbo Systems include the turbos, wastegate, blowoff valve, front mounted air-to-air intercooler and all required tubing and hardware. The Standard systems let you choose your own custom tuning and fuel injectors, or you can get a Tuning system with an STS Turbo-specific DiabloSport inTune i3 tuner and higher-rate fuel injectors. The systems are available for 2005-13 Corvette.
