Summit Racing has Richmond Gear Ring and Pinion Gear Sets for Almost Everyone

A ring and pinion gear set for serious racing is not the best choice for a street-driven car, and vice-versa. Richmond Gear know this—that’s why it makes gear sets for specific uses. It makes gear sets for street performance and bracket racing; dedicated drag cars; off-road vehicles; and affordable gears for daily drivers. And every gear set is backed by Richmond Gear’s two year/100,000 mile limited warranty when not used in racing applications.

Standard Gear Sets
Richmond Gear Standard gear sets are the best all-around gears for performance use. Like all Richmond Gear gear sets, the Standard gears are forged in a computer-controlled foundry, cut to 1,000th of an inch tolerances, and heat treated make them the strongest gears possible.

Available Applications
• Dana 60 and 80
• GM 7.5/7.625”
• GM 8.2” 10-bolt, Chevy and BOP (Buick-Olds-Pontiac)
• GM 8.3” and 8.5/8.6”
• GM 8.875” 12-bolt, car and truck
• Ford 7.5”, 8”, 8.8,” Super 8.8” IRS, 9”, and 9.5”
• Chrysler 8.75” and 9.75”
• Toyota 8”

Pro Series Gear Sets
Designed for drag racing, Richmond Gear’s Pro Series gear sets can withstand hard launches, pass after pass. The gears feature a softer, more pliable alloy, which makes the gears resistant to breakage under hard acceleration. The unique alloy is also able to withstand the severe heat cycling that is typically found within a drag racer’s rear axle.

Pro Series Gears can also save you up to six pounds of rotational weight depending on the application. That’s a big deal in an environment where 1/100 of a second means the difference between victory and defeat.

Available Applications
• Dana 60
• GM 8.875” 12-bolt, car
• Ford 8.8”, 9”, 9.5”

EXCEL Gear Sets
Sometimes, all you need is a high-quality, affordable replacement gear set for a work truck, mild street car, or a bracket bomber racer. That’s exactly what the EXCel Series by Richmond Gear is all about. They’re better than OEM quality—design, tooling, steel selection, and heat-treat specifications are all controlled by Richmond Gear. The gears will be nice and quiet when properly set up, too.

Available Applications
• Dana 30, 35, 44, 60, 70, and 80
• GM 7.5”/7.625”, 8.2”, 8.25” IFS, 9.25” IFS, 9.5”, and 10.5”
• Ford 7.5”, 9”, 9.75”, 10.25”, and 10.5”
• Chrysler 8.25” and 9.25”
• AMC Model 20
• AAM/Chrysler/GM 11.5”

Sportsman Gear Sets
Richmond Gear Sportsman gear sets are designed for trucks that see some off-road use. They start as American-made steel forgings and are heat-treated and machined in the same facility as Richmond's performance gears. Sportsman gear sets are available in 4.56 and 4.88 ratios for Toyota 7.5 inch differentials and 4.88 ratio for Dana 30 front differentials.

You’ll need an installation kit for your new gears—Summit Racing carries a big selection of Richmond Gear Ring and Pinion Installation Kits that will do the job.
