Summit Racing™ Pro GPX Gas Ported Piston Rings: More Power with a Just a Ring Swap

Gas-ported piston rings like Summit Racing™ Pro GPX Gas Ported Piston Rings can help your engine make more power. Designed for use with standard, unported pistons, the top rings have slots cut into them, allowing gas pressure into the ring groove to exert outward and downward force on the ring itself. That extra force stabilizes the ring, increasing ring seal to reduce blowby and improve horsepower production.

Oil contamination is the greatest enemy to engine life. With a better seal between the combustion side and the bottom end, our Pro GPX rings reduce oil contamination to extend oil and engine life.

That’s not all. Unlike gas-ported pistons that get plugged with carbon over time because they aren’t exposed to the detergents in oil, Pro GPX rings are self-cleaning because they are always rotating and directly exposed to the detergents in the oil. The ports stay clean without carbon buildup.
