Summit Racing™ Third Member Cases for Ford 9 Inch Can Handle Big Horsepower

If there is a more popular rear axle than the Ford 9 inch, we aren't aware of it. There are arguably more gear ratios, carriers, limited slips and lockers, and other hop-up parts for the 9 inch than any other axle.

Summit Racing™ Third Member Cases for the 9 inch axle are ideal for high-power street machines, bracket racers, and circle track racing. The cases are available in nodular iron or weight-saving aluminum in small bearing (3.062 inch) and big bearing (3.250 inch) versions. The nodular iron cases have forged steel main caps and 5/8" Grade 8 bolts that are good for 1,100+ horsepower. The aluminum cases have forged aluminum caps and help shed some weight from the axle assembly.
