Superwinch EXP Series Winches Now Available at Summit Racing

How good are Superwinch’s new EXP Series electric winches? Good enough that Superwinch filed eight patents on all of the innovative features built into the winches. For example, all electrical and electronic components are integrated into an aluminum housing, and the most critical electronics are fully potted to insure long life and reduce corrosion. That’s the same method Superwinch uses to build winches for the U.S. military, so you know it works.

Here are just a few of the features Superwinch crammed into the EXP winches:
• Three-stage planetary gearing and high torque series wound motor
• Auto-engage clutch re-engages the gears at the tap of the winch controller
• Auto-off with integrated timer to conserve battery power
• Wired vibrating remote with 15 foot cable
• Built-in wireless receiver for use with optional wireless remote
• Two 60 amp fused auxiliary power ports to run lights or air compressors
• Two integrated Picatinny rails to mount lights, cameras, etc.
• Warning lights alert you to abnormally high amp draw/overloading conditions
• Blue LED task lighting on sockets and power ports for night operation

Superwinch says the EXP winches are designed specifically for use with synthetic rope. Superwinch uses reinforced drums and a gear-end brake to reduce the heat buildup that can dramatically reduce rope life. Hawse fairlead models use a large-radius “Fatlip” hawse to further reduce heat and wear on the rope.

The Superwinch EXP Series Winches are available in 8,000, 10,000, and 12,000 pound load ratings with your choice of steel cable or synthetic rope and a hawse or roller fairlead. The winches have a limited lifetime warranty on mechanical parts and a five year warranty on electrical components.
