The TCI GM 6L80E StreetFighter Transmission Meets the Demands of Street and Strip Use
If you have a 1997-2023 Camaro, Corvette, pickup, or other GM vehicle with a heavily modified engine and a stock 6L80E transmission, chances are that engine will make hash of the transmission in short order. TCI’s 6L80E StreetFighter Transmission will handle the power and torque, making it perfect for street and race use.
Built for applications making up to 750 horsepower, the transmission features high-performance clutches and steels, a new billet pump rotor assembly, and updated sprag assemblies for increased holding power. New electronic components provide improved control and shift responsiveness.
Every 6L80E StreetFighter Transmission is thoroughly dyno-tested before leaving the factory to verify pressure and shift characteristics. The actual test results are included with each transmission.
It should be noted that after installation, the TEHCM must be reprogrammed with your vehicle’s VIN by a transmission shop using a J2534 device to function correctly.
