Tools Protection, Big Wire Crimpers, and Windshield Gasket Help at Summit Racing

If saving money and having the satisfaction of doing the job yourself sounds good to you, then check out these new tools you can buy at Summit Racing. We’ve got weather-resistant portable toolboxes, an impact-driven wire crimper, and a trick tool for installing windshield weatherstripping.

Powerbuilt Rapid Box Slant Front Portable Toolboxes
Powerbuilt’s 26-inch Rapid Box Slant Front Toolboxes are built to handle the abuse that everyday work in the shop and on the road can dish out. Just look at the fully welded seams, premium powdercoating, and chrome-plated hardware—you don’t see those on garden variety toolboxes. Then there’s the weather-sealed polymer lids that snug down over the tools so they stay put during transportation, and heavy-duty locks so you don’t have to worry about rust or theft.

The Rapid Box Toolboxes can hold up to 94 sockets, 50 combination wrenches, 9 screwdrivers, and 19 ratchets or extensions. Built-in magnetic strips in the lid and a removable socket tray offer additional versatility and flexibility. Plus, there’s extra open storage space for the stuff like manuals, your wallet and smartphone, or anything else you want to keep safe.

Moroso Impact Wire Crimp Tool
Take the guesswork out of creating secure, neat-looking crimps on heavy-gauge wire with Moroso’s Impact Wire Crimp Tool. It allows you to easily crimp 8-gauge through 4/0 AWG gauge terminals and lugs onto battery cables and other thick power cables. That makes the tool ideal when running cables from a battery box to the starter or for custom audio installs. The tool features a spring-loaded pin that locks in the “up” position for loading the connector and cable. When it’s released, the pin holds the connector/cable assembly secure in the tool’s jaws until you can give the impact driver a solid whack with a dead blow or similar hammer, completing the crimping process.

Precision Replacement Parts Windshield Gasket Lockstrip Tool
If you ever installed a replacement windshield gasket, then you know it’s no picnic in the park. Making it worse are windshields that use two-piece gaskets and lockstrips for sealing. Without an aid like Precision Replacement Parts Lockstrip Tool, they’re practically impossible to install. The Lockstrip Tool features four head profiles to work with all popular gasket types. After choosing the proper head for your application, the others can be removed via the threaded collar to keep them out of the way and prevent damage to vehicle paint and trim during installation. To use it, simply insert the tool into the gasket’s molded channel and slide the lockstrip into place as you move the tool along the length of the gasket. Another cool feature of this tool is that the handle can be repositioned to make it easier to go around corners and bends. This video shows you how the lockstrip tool works.
