Trailblaze Enhanced Performance for Your Polaris RZR with Hypertech
The technology wizards at Hypertech have been unlocking the untapped potential of computer-controlled vehicles with programmers, modules, chips, and other cutting-edge devices since 1985. Now, Hypertech has performed their magic to enhanc the performance of Polaris RZRs! Here is a sampling of the Hypertech parts available for your RZR at Summit Racing:
Max Energy Spectrum Power Programmers
A Hypertech Max Energy Spectrum Power Programmer can add more power to your RZR. On the dyno, naturally aspirated RZRs saw 9.2 horsepower at the tires on 93 octane gas, with an average of 6 percent more power across the board. Turbocharged RZRs benefit even more—up to 38.8 more rear wheel horsepower on 93 octane and averaging 31 percent more power at all RPMs. A race gas specific tune is also available for RZR turbo that puts down even more ponies to the trail.
With the Max Energy Spectrum Power Programmer, you can choose which optimized tune is right based on how much extra power you want or what octane gas you run. Or, use the Spectrum to make changes to throttle response, the top-speed limiter, cooling fan temperature control, speedometer calibration, rev limiter, and more. Updates happen very quickly thanks to the Spectrums’ fast processing speed and it’s fully internet-updateable for new tunes that become available in the future. Moreover, all tunes for turbo RZRs deliver lower EGTs than the factory-issued tune.
The Max Energy Spectrum Power Programmer is available in a 49-state configuration as well as in an emission-certified, California-specific version for 2015-21 RZR XP/XP4 1000, 2017-21 RZR XP/XP4 Turbo and Turbo S, and 2018-21 RS1 models.
Xtreme Blow-Off Valve
Thanks to regular doses of high heat, the factory plastic blow-off valve on turbocharged Polaris RZRs will eventually crack and warp. Not so with Hypertech’s Xtreme Blow-Off Valve. It’s constructed from 6061 aluminum to ensure maximum durability and heat dissipation. The top of the valve is infinitely adjustable so that you can adjust turbo response and sound to your liking. Other features include:
- Handles the higher boost pressures generated when tuning with Hypertech Max Energy Spectrum Power Programmers
- Designed to recirculate exhaust gasses just like the factory valve
- Bright red anodized finish
- Installs with simple hand tools
- Mounting hardware and instructions included
- Fits 2016-20 RZR XP/XP4 Turbo and 2018-20 RZR XP/XP4 Turbo S
Whether you’re a weekend warrior or a competitive racer, you’ve likely worn out or broken a factory RZR ball joint. Sure, you can just keep on replacing them with the same weak OEM part, or you can upgrade to Hypertech’s Heavy-Duty 4340 Ball Joints—the strongest, toughest, longest-lasting RZR ball joints made. Constructed from 4340 chromoly steel, the Heavy-Duty Ball Joints are designed with minimal retention bolt shaft recess to maintain the joint’s strength. Adjustable cups, heavy-duty dust boots, grease fittings, and an improved C-clip retainer design adds to the Heavy-Duty Ball Joints longevity. Plus, just by removing the lower snap ring and lock pin, the ball and socket junction can be retightened so you can always maintain a high steering response rate. Applications that the Hypertech Heavy-Duty 4340 Ball Joints fit include:
- 2014-20 RZR XP/XP 4 1000
- 2016-20 RZR XP/XP 4 Turbo
- 2018-20 RZR XP Turbo S
- 2019-20 RZR XP4 Turbo S
- 2018-20 RZR RS1
