Transform Your 1988-98 Chevy/GMC C1500’s Steering and Handling with a Flaming River Power Rack and Pinion Cradle Kit
Convert your 1988-98 Chevy/GMC C1500 pickup to the wonderful world of modern steering and handling with a Flaming River Power Rack and Pinion Cradle Kit. The kit replaces the factory steering box, idler arm, and drag link with a precision-welded cradle and power rack and pinion assembly. You get more precise steering with less weight, and there are fewer parts to wear out than compared to the OEM recirculating-ball steering system.
The rack and pinion feature a .980-inch shaft for extra strength and a billet servo valve for cooler operation. A new slip shaft with U-joints and power steering hoses is included to connect the rack assembly to your truck’s factory power steering pump, and everything attaches using the OE mounting points with no cutting, drilling, or welding to chassis required.
