Turn Your Old Ford Truck into a Handling Machine with Ridetech Suspension Systems

Ford designed its 1965-79 F100 and F150 pickups to work, not to handle. Ridetech’s bolt-on suspension systems for Ford fix that issue by replacing the stock twin I-beam front and leaf spring rear suspensions to transform your old pickup into a corner-carving street machine with adjustable ride height and improved ride quality.

The bolt-in suspension systems are available in complete packages for front and rear with your choice of coilover or Shockwave air shocks. Front and rear kits without shocks are also available individually.

Front Suspension Systems
Ridetech’s front suspension kits are a better alternative to swapping in a junkyard front clip from a Ford Crown Victoria or using a Mustang II-style suspension thanks to their superior suspension geometry, optimized roll centers, and anti-dive. You also get increased camber gain and 5 to 8 degrees of caster for improved high-speed stability. They replace the factory front crossmember with a bolt-on crossmember and shave approximately 130 pounds from the front of your truck.

Features include:
• H-style bolt-on crossmember strengthens the front of the truck and provides structural mounts for control arms
• Tubular steel upper and lower control arms with Delrin bushings
• Adjustable steering stop on lower control arms
• 2" drop spindles
• Upper and lower ball joints
• 1.500" diameter sway bar
• Billet inner and outer tie rod ends
• Adjustable bump stops
• Motor mount “loops” connect cradle to frame rails to reinforce frame
• Motor mount options for Ford small block, FE, and Modular engines plus Chevy small block, big block, and LS
• Accommodates for 1979-93 Mustang-style rack and pinion steering, not included

The Ridetech Front Suspension Systems provide 63.5 inches of front track width to give you more options for traditional-offset wheels. They accommodate 14 inch and larger wheels; 18 inch wheels are required if using more than 4.5 inches of backspacing.

Rear Suspension Systems
The Ridetech rear suspension systems replace the factory leaf springs with a parallel four-link and Panhard bar. They have an optimized roll center and anti-squat (60% anti-dive) for amazing traction without wheel hop. Features include:
• Bolt-on C-notches
• R-Joints on all links for smooth, bind-free operation and long life
• Reduces rear weight by 50 lbs.
The systems will lower rear ride height by approximately five inches. Add a set of Shockwaves and you’ll get an additional three inches of drop when the truck is parked and the shocks are fully deflated. 1965-72 trucks require no bed modifications; 1973-79 trucks require minor modifications to the bed support rails.

This Ridetech video gets into the nuts and bolts of installing the suspension systems on a Ford F100.
