Upgrade a Duramax Diesel, Make Engine Swaps Easier, and Plumb Fuel Lines with These New Summit Racing Brand Products
What’s the latest stuff in the Summit Racing Brand parts bin? We’ve got performance cams for Duramax diesels; cast iron exhaust manifolds for Chevy Gen 1 small block, LS, and LT engine swaps; and aluminum fuel line that’s easy to flare and bend to shape.
Summit Racing™ Pro Diesel Camshafts for GM Duramax
Give your 2001-16 GM 6.6L Duramax diesel some extra shove with a Summit Racing™ Pro Diesel Camshaft. The solid roller cams are designed for use with the stock springs and rockers and increase power without any loss of valvetrain durability. The firing order is changed to 1-5-6-3-4-2-7-8 for reduced crankshaft stress. Summit SUM-161003 cam key required, as is a pin swap.
Pro 1 Camshaft
This cam makes all the low-end power of a stock cam, yet makes more in the midrange with good gains at the top.
Operating Range: idle-3,700 RPM
Duration @ .050-inch Lift: 184°/187°
Valve Lift: 0.389-inch/0.392-inch
Lobe Separation: 105.5°
Pro 2 Camshaft
This cam is designed for engines with injector and turbo upgrades. This cam shifts the powerband slightly higher than the Pro 1 cam for larger increases in mid- and top-end power.
Operating Range: idle-3,900 RPM
Duration @ .050-inch Lift: 186.5°/189°
Valve Lift: 0.389-inch/0.392-inch
Lobe Separation: 106.5°
Pro 3 Camshaft
This cam is designed for engines with injector and turbo upgrades. The power range is shifted higher for great gains on the top end. If you make an occasional trip to the track, this cam is for you.
Operating Range: idle-4,100 RPM
Duration @ .050-inch Lift: 190°/193°
Valve Lift: 0.389-inch/0.392-inch
Lobe Separation: 108.5°
Summit Racing™ Cast Exhaust Manifolds
If you’re swapping a small block Chevy, GM LS, or GM LT engine into something that never came with one, consider using a set of Summit Racing™ Cast Exhaust Manifolds. They hug the engine closer than many tubular headers do, making them perfect for swaps with very tight clearances. And since they’re made of thick iron, you won’t have to worry about them rusting out.
Ram’s Horn Manifolds for Gen 1 small block Chevy are made from cast iron. They have a 2.5-inch diameter collector and fit cylinder heads with straight or angled spark plugs. They’re available in your choice of natural, chrome, silver ceramic, and black ceramic finishes. Gaskets and hardware included.
LS Swap Manifolds fit all LS engines except LS7 and LS9. They’re made from high-silicon ductile cast iron so they’re ideal for turbo setups. The manifolds are available in three versions with natural, chrome, silver ceramic, or black ceramic finishes:
• 2.5-inch ball and socket outlet flange with exhaust pipe adapters
• 2.25-inch straight outlet flange for use with donut seal gaskets
• 2.25-inch straight outlet flange with 3-inch V-band clamps
6.2L LT Swap Manifolds are also made from high-silicon ductile cast iron. They have a 2.5-inch outlet flange and come with gaskets and hardware. The manifolds fit 2014-22 engines and are available in natural, silver ceramic, and black ceramic finishes.
Summit Racing™ Aluminum Fuel Lines
Summit Racing™ Aluminum Fuel Lines are made from lightweight, .039-inch wall seamless aluminum tubing. The 3003-grade aluminum is strong, offers excellent corrosion resistance, and is easy to flare and bend to shape. The fuel line can handle up to 250 PSI of fuel pressure so you don’t have to worry about blowouts. Summit Racing Aluminum Fuel Lines come in 25-foot rolls in your choice of 1/4-, 5/16-, 3/8-, 1/2-, and 5/8-inch diameters.
We strongly recommend securing aluminum fuel line to the car with insulated clamps to keep them from flexing and fatiguing due to vibration. One clamp per 12 inches of line is a good rule of thumb.
