Walker Radiator Works Cobra Radiators Now Available at Summit Racing

Walker Radiator has been building traditional style copper-brass radiators since 1932. Why not switch to modern aluminum, you say? If properly designed, a copper-brass radiator will cool just as well as a comparable aluminum model, is easier to repair (try fixing an aluminum radiator with epoxied or plastic tanks), and is made from the exact same materials the OEMs used on your hot rod back when it was new. And nobody makes more radiators for early cars than Walker.

What’s more, every Walker Cobra radiator comes with a 10 year limited warranty against defects in material and workmanship. Not that you’ll need to collect on that warranty—the radiators are built to last with these features:
• More tubes and fins than comparable radiators for maximum cooling efficiency
• Thin design for additional fan clearance
• Top tanks stamped from .040 inch deep draw brass
• Heavy gauge steel side brackets
• Pre-drawn heavy 12 gauge steel rod holder with threaded holes for all attachments
• Brass drain cock for easy draining
• Designed to operate with a 15 lb. to 18 lb. radiator cap
• Simple bolt-on installation with no alterations to grill or grill shell needed

Summit Racing carries these Walker Cobra radiators:
• Cobra Standard Series Radiators are for cars running stock or mildly upgraded small block V8s
• Cobra Z-Series Radiators are designed to cool big block V8s and other engines with cooling issues such as Ford flathead V8s and supercharged engines
• Cobra Cool-Mate Series Radiators combine a Cobra standard or Z-Series radiator with a built-in automatic transmission oil cooler and an attached air conditioning condenser compatible with R-12 or R-134a refrigerant

Summit Racing also carries Walker Radiator Max Air Fan Shrouds. Vacuum-formed from high-impact, heat-resistant material, adding a shroud can drop temperatures up to additional 30 degrees. They’re available in four sizes to fit most Walker radiators.
