Weld, Degree, and Adjust with These New Tools from Summit Racing

Working on your vehicle always goes better when you have the proper tools. If you do small welding projects, build engines, or track a C8 Corvette, we have some tools you’ll want to check out.

Summit Racing™ Welding Table
Our welding table is perfect for small welding or fabricating projects. It features a 30 x 20 inch, 14-gauge zinc-plated work surface with four 1.1 inch wide slots that accommodate C-clamps. The work surface can be set horizontally or in one of three angled positions so you don’t have to be a contortionist while welding. The table can hold up to 350 lbs. and folds up for easy storage.

Clay Smith Cams Camshaft Degreeing Kit
Degreeing a camshaft insures the cam is set where the manufacturer designed it to be for optimum performance. That means you’re going to need a degreeing kit. Clay Smith Cams makes a nice one. It has a simplified degree wheel that reads from zero to 180 degrees, then 180 back to zero. It’s easy to use and is designed to work best with the intake centerline degreeing method recommended by Clay Smith. This video shows you how to do it.

The Clay Smith Cams Degreeing Kit also comes with a dial indicator, a magnetic dial indicator base, solid checking lifters for Chevy, Ford, and Mopar V8s, a pushrod, and a wire pointer.

Lingenfelter Performance Engineering C8 Spanner Wrench
Chevrolet went all race-car and gave the C8 Corvette with the Z51 package an adjustable coilover spring suspension on all four corners. The coilovers have two inches of adjustability, allowing you to set ride height where you want it.

Since you need a tool to set those adjusters, might we suggest Lingenfelter Performance Engineering’s Spanner Wrench. The wrench has an ergonomic design for a comfortable grip, maximum leverage, and clearance for adjusting the spring collar, plus asymmetric teeth that allow the tool to naturally rotate with the collar. Other features include:

• Long handle prevents the tool from slipping off the adjuster
• Built-in scale and flat bottom allow precise adjustment measurement
• Built-in pin locks into the threaded collar to prevent the collar from spinning
• Stores in the glovebox recess under the owner's manual
