Weldon Racing Electric Fuel Pumps and Regulators Now Available at Summit Racing

Like a lot of high performance parts makers, Weldon Racing’s roots go back to World War II. Its parent company developed high-RPM aircraft engine de-icing pumps that sprayed a fine mist of alcohol on the propellers. A whole lot of B-24 Liberator crews were thankful for those pumps.

After the war Weldon expanded into fuel, hydraulic, and lubrication pumps for the aircraft and other industries, and eventually into the racing and high performance market. You’ll find Weldon fuel pumps and regulators on cars in NHRA, NMRA, and NMCA competition as well as lots of hot street machines.

Summit Racing carries several types of Weldon electric fuel pumps. They feature high-quality, American-made electric motors and all-metal construction—no plastic or phenolic parts here. The pumps are completely serviceable, saving you the cost of buying a brand new pump. Here are a couple of the Weldon fuel pumps we carry:

1100-A Pump
This inline fuel pump can feed fuel injected engines making up to 1,400 horsepower naturally aspirated and 1,000 horsepower with a turbo or supercharger. If you’re a carburetor person, the 1100-A can support a naturally aspirated engine making up to 1,600 horsepower and boosted engines up to 1,500 horsepower.
• Extremely quiet
• Continuous duty pump with extremely low current draw
• 304 brushed stainless steel housing
• Mil-spec clear anodized billet end caps
• -10 AN inlet and outlet O-ring ports
• Two stainless steel T-bolt style clamps included

D2345-A Pump
This pump can support fuel injected engines making up to 2,800 horsepower naturally aspirated and 2,400 horsepower with a turbo or supercharger. It can also be used on carbureted engines.
• Tool steel pump element
• Billet aluminum body
• Breakaway coupling prevents pump and motor damage in the event of contamination
• -12 AN inlet and -10 AN outlet O-ring ports
• Alcohol, E-85, and diesel fuel-compatible

16420-A Pump
This pump is made for drag race-only carbureted engines, flowing 420 GPH to support 3,000-plus horsepower. It features a 10-vane steel pump element for precise and consistent fuel delivery under the most demanding conditions.
• High efficiency, brush-type electric motor
• Integral adjustable relief valve for stable pressure compensation as fuel demand increases
• 1.75 square inch Teflon® diaphragm—the largest in the industry
• Stainless steel valve seat with .438" return orifice
• Teflon® lip seal eliminates seeping and leaking
• Billet aluminum pump housing with Mil-spec anodizing
• Individually flow tested on gasoline and supplied with pump “dyno” sheet
• Multiple-position mounting for easy drop-in replacement of most large displacement pumps
• -12 AN inlet and outlet O-ring ports
• -8 AN return link to tank O-ring port

We also offer Weldon’s Fuel Pump Voltage Controller that lets you adjust fuel volume flow while maintaining a preset fuel pressure. It uses pulse-width modulation that interrupts current to the motor over 12,000 times per second. That keeps your fuel cooler, reduces cavitation, prevents vapor lock, and allows the pump to run quieter.

Summit Racing also carries Weldon Racing bypass fuel regulators for carbureted and fuel injected engines, mechanical fuel pumps, inline fuel filters, and replacement pump motors.
