Why the Edelbrock AVS2 is a Better Carburetor for Off-Roading
What makes Edelbrock’s AVS2 Offroad Carburetors ideal for your trail rig? Well, Edelbrock’s Annular Flow Booster technology features annular boosters with eight equally spaced orifices to improve fuel atomization and more evenly distribute fuel into the airflow stream. That helps to eliminate flat spots and greatly improve low- to midrange power. This Edelbrock video shows you how the boosters work.
The AVS2 also features a spring-loaded needle and seat along with a spring-loaded anti-syphon ball in the accelerator pump circuit for superior fuel control when you’re driving over rough terrain.
Other AVS2 carburetor features include:
• Revised calibration for improved off-idle and cruising performance
• Two-piece, all-aluminum construction for cooler operating temperatures and less warping
• No gaskets below the fuel bowl level for fewer leaks
• Easily changed metering rods for precise tuning
• Timed and full vacuum ports for ignition advance
• No plastic parts or power valves to blow out
Edelbrock AVS2 Offroad Carburetors are rated at 650 CFM and are available with a manual or electric choke.
