Wiring Specialties Wiring Harnesses Now Available at Summit Racing

Wiring Specialties got its start making engine and transmission wiring harnesses to swap Nissan performance engines in Nissan and Datsun cars. Now the company has gotten into the GM LS swap world with wiring harnesses for Gen III and Gen IV engines.

Wiring is all these guys do, and it shows. All harnesses are developed in-house on real engines to make sure they fit and function as designed. Wiring Specialties follows OEM wire color coding, and uses hydraulic crimping machines that make wire-to-terminal connections with over 2000 lbs. of force—just like GM does. And all harnesses undergo a wire-to-wire electronic test after assembly to ensure no wire pinout mistakes were made. You won’t find a better harness for your LS swap.

Summit Racing offers these Wiring Specialties products:

Pro Series Engine Wiring Harnesses for GM LS
A Pro Series engine harness requires just three wire connections—starter signal, ignition signal, and electric fuel pump. The universal harnesses integrate the main engine and transmission harnesses into a one-piece assembly for a clean, professional appearance. Features include:
• OEM connectors and seals
• TXL automotive wire with adhesive shrink tubing
• High-temperature nylon braided loom for an OEM-quality look
• Fireproof fiberglass sleeving used in harness sections near the exhaust manifolds
• Alternator charge harness included

Summit Racing currently offers Pro Series harnesses for these engine/transmission combinations—talk to a friendly Summit Racing sales rep for specifics:
• 1999-2018 4.8/5.3/6.0L with Vortec truck intake/accessory drive, 4L80E or T-56 transmission
• 1998-2002 5.3L LS1 with Camaro/Firebird intake/accessory drive, 4L60E/4L80E or T-56 transmission
• 2005-06 6.0L LS2 with GTO intake/accessory drive and T-56 Magnum transmission

If you need something special, chances are Wiring Specialties can build you a harness for just about any LS engine and factory transmission combo—your Summit Racing sales rep can help you with that too.

Pro Series Coil Pack Harnesses
Don’t put up with a suspect boneyard coil pack harness—get a brand new Pro Series harness designed for a direct drop-in installation into any chassis with an LS1, LS2, or LS6 engine. The harnesses use OEM-quality connectors, high-temperature wire, and braided nylon looms with adhesive shrink tubing. Wiring Specialties builds them with OEM-style connections and T-junctions—no failure-prone soldered connections here. Pro Series coil pack harnesses are available for these combinations:
• LS1 with factory coil packs
• LS2 with factory coil packs
• LS1 with LS2 coil packs
• LQ4 and LQ9 Vortec with factory coil packs

Universal Five-Point Grounding Kit
Take five minutes to make sure your engine is grounded properly by installing this five-point wiring kit. It features tin-coated copper wire, fire-resistant fiberglass loom, and OEM-quality ring terminals. The harness is designed so you can ground each connection to the block, cylinder head, alternator, sheetmetal, or any other suitable location of your choice.

Oxygen Sensor Extension Harnesses
Doing an LS engine swap in a vehicle that didn’t come with one means the factory oxygen sensor wiring harness might not be long enough. These Wiring Specialties extension harnesses lengthen your O2 sensor harness by 24 inches. They feature fire-resistant fiberglass sleeving and high-temperature adhesive tubing seals to protect against moisture and heat. Sold in pairs.
