Yukon Gear Ring and Pinion Gear Sets: Re-Gear with the Good Stuff
When you need to re-gear your vehicle, you can’t do better than a Yukon Gear Ring and Pinion Gear Set. Yukon Gear uses top-quality steel alloys and the latest manufacturing technologies to provide a quiet running gear that is strong and easy to set up. Yukon also backs its gear sets with a one-year limited warranty.
Your new Yukon gears will perform for years if they’re set up properly. This setup guide on the Yukon Gear website is a great primer on the procedure. Your new gears will require a break-in period to prevent damage from overheating. Yukon recommends letting the differential cool down after the first 15 or 20 miles of driving. They also recommend changing the gear oil after the first 500 miles to remove any metal particles or phosphorus coating that has come off the gear set.
