Jason Line on a Roll Going into Sonoma Nationals

Summit Racing Pro Stock driver Jason Line made incredible gains at last weekend’s Mopar Mile-High Nationals. He qualified Number One, setting low ET of qualifying in the process. He also set low ET of eliminations.

This weekend, he’ll be looking to continue the steady upswing at the 27th annual NHRA Sonoma Nationals in the heart of Northern California's wine country. Line won this event twice before, most recently in 2009.

"Last weekend was very encouraging for the KB Racing crew. We did a lot of work back at the shop leading up to that event, and it paid off. So we're all excited to get to Sonoma—and it sure doesn't hurt that Sonoma Raceway seems to like us a lot," said Line. "We've had a lot of success there between my teammate Greg Anderson and myself, and coming back to sea level after racing in Denver is always welcome."

Currently fourth in the Pro Stock points standings, Line is mindful of how close the Countdown to the Championship playoffs. There are four races left before the first Countdown race, the NHRA Carolina Nationals in September.

"There are definitely a few particular things that I'm very focused on," said Line. "We have to get really good for the Countdown, and we're going to be. The Summit Racing team will be tough. Nobody is going to look forward to racing us first round, I can promise you that."

You can follow Jason Line and the rest of Team Summit's performance at the NHRA Sonoma Nationals on Drag Race Central.
