Project Grocery Getter: Jason Line's 1968 Biscayne Wagon
Jason Line is known for speed. From setting NHRA Pro Stock 1/4-mile speed records to his quick ascent from 2004 NHRA Rookie of the Year to 2006 NHRA Pro Stock World Champion, he likes to do everything fast--and that apparently includes grocery shopping.
During the 2009 NHRA Full Throttle Series season, Jason acquired a 1968 Chevy Biscayne wagon and has begun transforming it from a non-descript, sky blue vehicle of mass transportation to the ultimate grocery-getter. When he's through, he'll be hauling those groceries home in an 800+ horsepower, 4,500-lb hot rod capable of taking care of business both at the mall and on the track.
We'll take you through the entire build up with photographs, feature stories on the wagon, a tech story on its 800-horsepower 557 cubic inch powerplant, and a series of blogs written by Jason Line. Click on the slide show link above for an updated photo gallery of the Biscayne build and check out the links below for stories and blog entries. We'll add new photos and links as the project progresses.
